PFA - Play For All

Chicago Children’s Museum is committed to providing exhibits, programs, and public spaces that are inclusive and interactive for all families.
 
During Play For All, we invite children and families with disabilities to come and experience CCM’s playful, multisensory exhibits and activities for a special private hour, beginning at 10:00 AM inside the museum, along with our members.
 
The museum opens up to the public at 11:00 AM. Play For All families are welcome to stay and continue exploring the museum all day.

Accommodations Available:
  • Adult/Child Wheelchairs: assistive mobility device (must leave an ID at Tickets to check out wheelchairs)
  • Lap Tray: to use with a wheelchair
  • Sound Reducing Headphones: to reduce stimulation
  • Dry Erase Board: to write or draw

Guests redeeming Illinois resident tickets must provide proof of residency for admission. Illinois resident tickets submitted by non-Illinois residents will not be honored.

  • Illinois city/institution-issued Library card* 
  • Illinois city/institution-issued employee ID card* 
  • Current lease, mortgage agreement, or utility bill with an Illinois address on it* 
  • Chicago CityKey Card 
  • Illinois academic ID card 
  • Illinois auto registration card* 
  • Voter registration card* 
  • Posted mail from the past 30 days with an Illinois Address* 
 
*Forms of ID that do not include a photo must be presented with another form of photo ID that confirms the name on the card/document is theirs. 

 

Additional Discounts - Only available at the admissions desk and cannot be applied to tickets purchased online

  • Veterans receive one free admission and Active Military receive up to four free admissions at the Admissions Desk with a valid Military ID.
  • Visiting members of ACM Reciprocal Network institutions are eligible for a 50% discount on up to six admissions at the Admissions Desk with proof of membership. Find out if your home institution is part of the ACM Reciprocal Network.
  • Chicago Children's Museum is a proud Museums for All partner. We offer families that qualify for state food assistance and are in possession of an EBT card or WIC card $5 admission per person for up to 6 people when identification is presented in the general admission line. We accept EBT cards or WIC cards from every U.S. state and territory. Note: The Chicago Public Schools issued EBT cards and the Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) cards are not eligible for this program

  • At least one adult (18+) AND one child are required for museum entry
  • Some exhibits may be closed during the final hour of operations 
  • Final admission allowed no later than one hour before closing
  • Parking validation is available only during museum operating hours at the time of check-in before a visit.
  • The museum is unable to process payments using international credit and/or debit cards. Museum admission can be purchased at the admissions desk with cash, or by using cards linked to U.S. banks. Contact us for additional support.

Members can NOT redeem more free tickets than their membership allows. Additional tickets are full-priced and available at the admissions desk. Membership levels are confirmed at check-in.

  • Family-level members can redeem up to 4 free admissions per day
  • Explorer-level members can redeem up to 6 free admissions per day
